Privacy Policy
How Inspectra BIM handles your data. In short: your models stay on your machine.
Local processing
Inspectra BIM processes your BIM models and point clouds locally on your device. Opening or reviewing a project never requires uploading it to our servers.
What we collect
When you create an account we process your name, email address and, optionally, a company name. While you use the site signed in, we also keep basic service records: support issues you submit (subject, category, description, app version), installer download counts with timestamps, and your marketing consent status with its date.
We use this data to provide your account, downloads and support (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), to keep the service secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)), and — only if you opt in — to send product updates (consent, Art. 6(1)(a), withdrawable at any time in your account settings).
Licensing data
To issue and validate licenses we use Keygen (keygen.sh) as our licensing backend: we share your name and email address to create your licensing profile, and — once license enforcement is active — we process license keys and a basic device identifier (machine fingerprint) to enforce seat limits. Payments are handled by Paddle acting as merchant of record, so your card details never reach our servers.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time in your account settings. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form — we respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), uodo.gov.pl.
Who we are
The data controller is Inspectra BIM — Wiktor Mertka (sole proprietorship; full registration details will be added here once company registration completes). For any privacy matter, contact us via the contact form.
Sharing and processors
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that help us run Inspectra BIM: Hostinger (website hosting), Keygen, Inc. (license management, USA — transfers safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses), Paddle (payment processing as merchant of record, with its own privacy policy), and our transactional email provider. Each provider processes data under a data processing agreement and only on our instructions.
Retention
Account data is kept for as long as your account exists and is deleted or anonymised within 30 days of account deletion, unless the law requires longer retention (for example invoicing records). Support issues are kept while they are relevant to product quality. Download and security logs are kept for up to 12 months.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies: WordPress sign-in and session cookies, security tokens, and a small cookie that remembers you dismissed the cookie notice. We run no analytics or advertising trackers. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent — our cookie banner is informational.
